Ahead of all the things restaurants are doing this summer, this has to be one of the coolest things I’ve seen! Chef Paul Turano of Cook Restaurants is offering free lunch for all Massachusetts teachers at his locations in Needham and Newton.

He’s also calling on other restaurants to join in to give back to all teachers across the entire state!

Turano is inviting all teachers at a grade school, middle school, or high school at a qualified educational institution into either of his Cook Restaurant locations every Monday from 11:30AM – 2:30PM for a free lunch entrée beginning June 24th, 2019 and continuing until Labor Day.

“I have school aged children and this is the time of year you start seeing teacher appreciation days. It just got me thinking that it would be really nice to pay it forward for teachers as they honestly do so much for our children. It’s a small gesture as I have small restaurants and that’s all I can do, but I’d like to get the word out and enlist other restaurants across the state to join us. Maybe with can garner enough support to string together an entire week of kind things for all teachers in Massachusetts. I mean as restaurants we’re kind of the anchors in our communities and it’s our job to see a need and act on it,” said Chef/Owner Paul Turano of Cook Restaurants.

Teachers wishing to take part of the free lunch program should call ahead for lunch reservations and bring school credentials. The special is available every Monday from June 24th, 2019 – August 26th, 2019. For more information on Cook Restaurants, check out their website.

If you read this, I encourage you to share and post this. It would be great if this became a movement this summer for all our teachers across Massachusetts!
